Duties & Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate 5-axis mills.
• Clean machines and work area..
• Deburr parts to ensure precision and quality
• Perform kitting of production tools, fixtures, cutters, and pre-cut raw material.
• Operate machines after receiving complete instructions and inspect parts using blueprint dimensions and prescribed gauges
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures
• Perform layout, fabrication, and assembly of components as required
• Observe all laws, regulations, and applicable obligations while conducting business on behalf of the company
• Execute additional functions and tasks as assigned or required
• Work safely and follow established operating procedures and practices
Job Qualifications:
• High school diploma, technical/trade school training, or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of experience operating 5-axis mills
• Must demonstrate a customer-focused attitude and possess
• Semi-routine setup and fabrication skills for machined parts
• Strong knowledge of machining equipment, including safe practices
• Ability to read and understand engineering blueprints and diagrams
• Effective skills to maintain workflow within the unit
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills for interfacing with employees and supervisors
• Basic computer skills for operational purposes
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Flexibility to work extended hours when required
Preferred Skills & Experience:
• SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) and Lean Manufacturing experience (required).
• Proficient in machine setup, not just operations
• Ability to understand and interpret manuals as needed.
• Willingness to handle tasks beyond CNC operations
• Familiarity with the Fanuc System (highly regarded in CNC machining for reliability and precision).
• Exposure to composites (helpful, but not required).
