Position: IT Help desk Analyst
Location: Topeka, KS, 66619 (100% onside)
Duration: 6 months contract
Job Description:
• User Platform:
• 35% Work includes installation of hardware and software, imaging computers, troubleshooting and configuring of client and client-server based applications in a LAN/WAN environment at multiple sites, and deploying mobile devices. Commission applications used and/or support range from Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Oracle, various web browsers, Win zip,, Bit locker, Ghost, Zoom, Printer logic among many others. Supported hardware includes desktop and laptop computers, printers, scanners, among others.

• Prepares purchase requests, works with state contracted vendors to request and review maintenance renewal quotes, submits, records, and tracks departmental purchases, reviews invoices against quotes, and tracks purchases against the department budget. Maintains and audits inventory of IT hardware and software. Prepare equipment for disposal. Gathers monthly printer meter readings.

• Provide instruction and training for staff, as well as IT orientation for new employees.

• Assist with Zoom meetings and webbing's, as well as off-site public hearing event A/V needs as required.

• Enterprise Security:
• Ensure all workstations are patched with latest Microsoft security patches, hot fixes and service packs, along with any necessary application updates. Scan USB flash drives. Monitor all workstations ensuring they have up-to-date anti- software and remedy infections/breaches when they occur.

• Backup and retention of current and existing employee data, restore data at user requests.

• Server Platform:
• Windows system administrator, domain administrator. Create/maintain user accounts and permissions in Active Directory.

• Other duties as assigned.
