Manufacturing Operations teams are responsible for producing products within a facility that emphasizes a “Safety First, Quality Always” approach and a commitment to continuous improvement. These teams work locally while being part of a broader global manufacturing network, ensuring the highest quality in raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
This specific site is a center for biotechnology manufacturing, responsible for producing, filling, packaging, and distributing vaccines for animal health. Operations at the site include mammalian, insect, and avian cell culture production, live bird vaccine production, embryonated egg vaccine production, roller bottle and bioreactor vaccine production, as well as downstream processing such as water-in-oil emulsions, aseptic filling, and lyophilization.
All tasks are carried out in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all relevant safety policies. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Cleaning work areas including floors, walls, tables, and equipment
Preparing, cleaning, and sterilizing glassware and instruments
Assisting with equipment setup and basic operations
Supporting aseptic procedures such as product formulation, filling operations, and environmental monitoring
Maintaining accurate and concurrent records (e.g., charts, logbooks, documentation)
Adhering to safety protocols and promoting a safe work environment
Performing tasks related to formulation, filling, labeling, capping, packaging, and visual inspection of products
Assisting in the training of new team members
Reporting any unusual or non-routine occurrences
Managing hazardous waste in compliance with training and regulations
Supporting non-aseptic procedures, including tissue handling and waste processing involving poultry
Participating in SOP review and development
Assisting in reviewing production records and entering technical data
Attending required training sessions to improve job skills and processes
Monitoring and requisitioning laboratory supplies as needed
