Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to develop, document, and direct the implementation and evaluation of quality assurance programs and systems for large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will provide expertise in interpreting national and international quality standards, while collaborating closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure adherence to quality benchmarks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identify and recommend design or manufacturing changes and enhancements.
• Define technical objectives for quality assurance and establish project completion strategies.
• Propose design, dimensional, or manufacturing process changes to improve product quality and reduce costs.
• Develop and implement inspection, testing, and evaluation methods for product precision and accuracy.
• Conduct audits of quality systems, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions for internal and vendor processes.
• Prepare statistical analysis reports, specifications, and other technical documents.
• Interpret and adapt quality standards and government regulations to align with company practices.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies to resolve quality-related issues.
• Deliver technical presentations and provide project direction to team members.
• Manage non-conformance, material rejection, and corrective action reports, including chairing the material review board.
• Conduct internal audits and vendor qualification examinations as needed.
• Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and safety procedures during business operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with a minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of inspection methods and proficiency in computer operations and applications.
• Extensive knowledge of quality assurance concepts, techniques, and methods in a specific field of specialization.
• Analytical skills to develop creative solutions for complex quality issues and effectively communicate those solutions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills for effective collaboration with suppliers, customers, and regulatory personnel.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work extended hours as needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance is required.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt) and continuous improvement practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for data analytics; knowledge of Visio is a plus.
• Experience as a technical writer to define and document processes.
• Ability to conduct interviews and facilitate training sessions using MS Teams.
• Collaborative mindset with experience working in small, influential teams, particularly in engineering and data analytics.
