Job Title: Quality Control Analyst I
Location: Rensselaer, NY 12144
Duration: 6 Months (Contract)
Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Night shift role)
Looking for candidates with commercial QC experience 3-5 years.
About the Role
We are seeking a Quality Control Analyst I to join our team in Rensselaer, NY. In this role, you will perform both routine and non-routine analytical chemistry assays on raw materials, in-process samples, finished APIs, and stability samples. You will also support method development/transfers, cleaning study qualifications, and other special projects.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct analytical testing for incoming, in-process, raw material, and final product samples, as well as stability samples.
Utilize laboratory equipment including balances, pipettes, pH meters, UV/Visible spectrophotometers, and TOC analyzers.
Perform chromatography (LC/GC) after training and qualification.
Execute wet chemistry assays and water sample collections.
Support QC instrument maintenance, calibration, and general lab housekeeping.
Assist in data review, prepare summaries, and support audits.
Contribute to OOS, deviation, and CAPA investigations.
Provide backup support for sample receipt, processing, shipment, and test result tracking.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
0–3 years of relevant experience in pharmaceuticals or related industry.
Preferred:
Experience in a cGMP or GLP pharmaceutical environment.
Skills & Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently under tight deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory instrument software.
Knowledge of FDA GMPs (21 CFR, 211, 820, and/or 600); ISO 9001/13485 experience is a plus.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical interpretation skills.
Ability to perform complex mathematical operations relevant to analytical testing.
