This Quality Inspector Position Features:
This role is for you:
If you get excited about making sure parts and assemblies leave the building built to spec and ready to be installed smoothly in our clients’ hangars. You love the fact that you contributed to ensuring long after the installation is commissioned our military’s service men and women can focus on keeping their aircraft flying. You naturally enjoy chasing down quality issues and get excited about finding the root cause of a defect.
Responsibilities:
• Measure part dimensions, examine functionality and finish, and compare the final product to the specifications.
• Manage production QA/QC checklists and documentation.
• Inspect parts or materials at vendors and sub-contractors.
• Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
• Address any quality control concerns with the production team and engineering team.
• Manage calibration and maintenance of measuring tools.
• Client holds an FM Approved status, which requires specific quality control measures. You will be responsible for ensuring the company remains in compliance with these requirements.
Requirements
• Quality Inspector Certification (CQI)
• Manufacturing experience, strong preference for Aluminum manufacturing/fabrication
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of quality control standards
• Has a problem-solving mindset
• Has a “can-do” attitude
