Tax Manager (CPA Required)
Location: Austin, TX (Historic District – paid parking included)
Employment Type: Full-Time | In-Office
Compensation: Competitive + 4 bonus opportunities per year
Key Responsibilities
Manage and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and high-net-worth clients
Facilitate tax planning, projections, and strategies for diverse client needs
Provide technical expertise on complex tax issues and research tax matters as needed
Oversee and review property tax returns and financial statements
Ensure quality standards and adherence to compliance requirements across the firm
Develop, mentor, and supervise tax associates and staff accountants
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements
Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor
Support firm-wide initiatives and management activities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Accounting or Taxation preferred)
CPA certification required
5+ years of experience preparing and reviewing tax returns, with supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
Experience with QBO/QBD; Thomson Reuters software a plus
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Positive, collaborative attitude with the ability to thrive in a boutique firm environment
