Job Summary: As a Systems Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing complex systems that meet the technological and business needs of our organization. You will be responsible for creating architectural solutions that align with our strategic objectives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Your expertise will guide the development teams in building robust and efficient systems that integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure and applications.
Responsibilities:
Architectural Design: Develop high-level system architecture designs based on business requirements, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational goals.
Technology Evaluation: Research and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and platforms to recommend the most suitable solutions for specific projects.
Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and infrastructure teams, to understand requirements and translate them into architectural designs.
Prototyping: Create prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate architectural decisions and identify potential risks or limitations.
Scalability and Performance Optimization: Design systems with scalability and performance in mind, considering factors such as load balancing, caching mechanisms, and database optimization.
Security: Ensure that systems are designed with robust security measures, including data encryption, access controls, and threat mitigation strategies.
Documentation: Document system architecture designs, standards, and guidelines to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure consistency across projects.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, advocating for the adoption of new tools and methodologies to enhance system architecture.
Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting complex technical issues, offering insights and recommendations to resolve challenges effectively.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
3+ years as a Systems Architect, Software Architect, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C#, and familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
