Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, with hands-on experience using CORE and/or DOORS management tools for requirements inputs and specification document outputs. This role is crucial for ensuring that our complex systems are designed, developed, and delivered according to stringent requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Requirements Management: Utilize CORE and/or DOORS to capture, manage, and track requirements throughout the lifecycle of projects. Ensure requirements are clearly defined, documented, and aligned with project objectives.
• Specification Development: Create and maintain detailed specification documents, ensuring they accurately reflect system requirements and are compliant with industry standards and customer expectations.
• System Design and Analysis: Engage in the design and analysis of complex systems, ensuring integration and compatibility with existing systems. Perform trade studies and assessments to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and customers, to gather and refine requirements. Facilitate meetings and workshops to ensure a clear understanding of system needs and constraints.
• Configuration Management: Oversee configuration management processes to ensure all system components are properly documented and controlled. Manage version control and maintain traceability of requirements.
• Testing and Validation: Support the development of test plans and validate that systems meet all specified requirements. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues identified during testing.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation related to requirements, design, and system performance. Provide regular updates and reports to project teams and management.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities for enhancing requirements management and specification documentation practices.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, with a strong emphasis on requirements management and specification documentation.
• Technical Skills:
-Proficiency with CORE and/or DOORS management tools.
- Solid understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies.
- Experience with requirements traceability, configuration management, and system validation.
• Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
