Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer with extensive experience in building controls systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining sophisticated control systems for various building applications. This role requires a strong technical background in building automation and a keen ability to integrate various systems to optimize building performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• System Design and Integration: Develop and design building control systems, including HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management systems. Ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure and systems.
• Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders, including facility managers, architects, and clients, to understand their needs and translate them into detailed system requirements and specifications.
• Implementation and Configuration: Oversee the installation and configuration of building control systems. Ensure systems are calibrated correctly and perform as intended.
• Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to verify system functionality, performance, and reliability. Identify and address any issues or discrepancies.
• Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing support for building control systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues. Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure optimal system performance.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system designs, configurations, and operating procedures. Prepare detailed reports for stakeholders as required.
• Energy Management: Implement strategies to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability within building systems. Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvements.
• Compliance: Ensure that all systems comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Stay current with industry best practices and technological advancements.
• Training: Train facility staff and end-users on system operation and best practices. Provide technical support and guidance as needed.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Automation, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on building controls systems, including HVAC, lighting, and energy management.
• Technical Skills:
? In-depth knowledge of building control systems and protocols (e.g., BACnet, LON, Modbus).
? Proficiency in system design, configuration, and integration.
? Experience with control system software and hardware.
? Familiarity with energy management and sustainability practices.
• Soft Skills:
? Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
